This document governs the privacy policy of our “Websites” (Websites) at http://www.sheaffermarince.com and http://www.sheafferboats.com. Any capitalized terms not defined here will have the same meaning as where they are defined elsewhere on our Websites.

Sheaffer Marine believes in everyone’s right to privacy. If any postings you make to our Websites contain information about third parties, you need to make sure you have permission to include them in your posting. While we are not legally liable for the actions of our Users, we will remove any postings for which we are notified that such postings violate the privacy rights of others.
Information We Collect
As a visitor to our Websites, you can browse our Websites to find out more about us, our boats, our services and our products. You are not required to provide us with any PII as a Visitor.
However, if you complete any forms on our Websites, you must provide PII in order for us to provide you with various features and/or functionality from our Website. We collect your PII in the following ways:
Online Forms. There may be online forms used in our Websites, such as the form on our “Contact Us” (Contact Us) page. The information you enter into these online forms may contain PII. If you would like a Sheaffer Marine representative to reach out to you using the Contact Us form, it requires PII such as your name, address, email address, phone number, and the boat models and/or services you are inquiring about.
Computer Information Collected. When you use our Websites, we automatically collect certain computer information by the interaction of your mobile phone or web browser with our Websites. Such information is typically considered NPI. We may also collect any of the following:
Cookies. Our Websites use “Cookies.” A Cookie is a small piece of data stored on your computer or mobile device by your web browser. We use Cookies to identify the areas of our Websites that you have visited. We may also use Cookies to identify you as a Member so that you can access various parts or features of our Websites. Finally, we may use Cookies to personalize the Content that you see on our Websites. Most web browsers can be set to disable the use of Cookies. However, if you disable Cookies, you may not be able to access features on our Websites correctly or at all. We never place PII in Cookies.

We do not link NPI from Web Beacons to PII without your permission.

This information also includes the IP address of your computer/proxy server that you use to access the Internet, your Internet Website provider name, web browser type, type of mobile device, and computer operating system. We use all of this information to analyze trends among our Users to help improve our Websites.
How Information is Used
We use PII to manage how and when we contact you as well as your preferred methods of communication, prior inquiry history, and boat purchase information from our sales records. This PII also allows us to respond to your questions and social media communications as well as providing you with more information about our company, boats, services, and products.
We may use the PII you provide to us along with any computer information we receive to provide our Websites to you as well as to make improvements to them.
When we communicate with you about our Websites, we will use the email address you have provided. We may also send you alerts regarding your use of our Websites. Finally, we may also send you emails with promotional information about our Websites or offers from us or our affiliates, unless you have opted out of receiving such information. You can change contact preferences at any time through the “Subscription Center” link at the bottom of the email you receive. While you can opt-out of promotional messages, you cannot opt-out of receiving Website alerts.
If you purchase a new or used boat from us or use our Boat Doctor repair services, we collect and record information on the boats and services ordered so we can provide thorough, accurate service. We also use the ordering and billing information provided to us in order to invoice you for products and services rendered.

Disclosure of your Information
By providing PII to Sheaffer Marine Inc. you agree that we may share certain categories of information we collect from you in ways described in this Privacy Policy. We share PII and Traffic Data with our business partners who assist us in providing digital services such as website hosting, data storage, security, advertising and promotional services. Those business partners are bound to uphold the same standards of security and confidentiality that we promise in this Privacy Policy, and they will only use your PII to carry out their specific business obligations. Sheaffer Marine Inc. does not share, sell, rent or trade your PII with any third parties for their promotional purposes.

You may have to provide a credit card to buy products and services from our Websites. We use third-party billing services and HAVE NO CONTROL over these services. We use our commercially reasonable efforts to make sure that your credit card number is kept STRICTLY CONFIDENTIAL by using only third-party billing services that use industry-standard encryption technology to protect your credit card number from unauthorized use. However, you understand and agree that we are in no way responsible for any misuse of your credit card number.
